Christmas Parades

Our first year participating in the Norwood and Havelock Christmas parades were a success. All of the students worked very hard making decorations for the float.  We would like to thank #7 Auto for lending us the float, to Sarah and Andrew for lending us the Christmas lights, Wayne for the square bales of  hay for us to sit on and thank you to  Steve and Paul who left work early to drive the float. We would also like to thank all the parents and children who braved the cold to support our school. Thank you to Danah who joined us on her day off for the ride. We look forward to participating in the parades next year.

Toddler News

We would like to welcome our new students to the toddler room. We look forward to having them at school.

The toddlers are working on language activities with the classified cards. They are learning many new words each day.

They are really enjoying the various art activities that Danah had prepared for them.

Casa News

The young Casa children have been working on their practical life activities. They especially like washing the tables, spooning and pouring activities. These activities prepare the children for later language activities as the children learn to complete activities from left to right.

The older Casa children are working on subtraction and sharing (division) math.

They are working with the blue language materials and are able to build many phonetic words. They have also studied the parts of the triangle.

All of the Casa children have discussed Christmas traditions around the world and have practiced saying Merry Christmas in a variety of languages.
